REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering; or five to ten years power plant management experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Able to apply basic engineering principles and theory.
- Prioritizes, plans, and recommends solutions for routine projects.
- Effectively communicates both written and orally.
- Approaches and plans work in an organized manner to meet project commitments.
- Demonstrates good judgment when making decisions and recommendations.
- Ability and willingness to work overtime to support plant operation and maintenance. (Occasional phone calls during off hours are to be expected.)
DESIRED:
- Experience with managing a team during the commissioning and startup of a combined cycle power plant.
- Operations experience at a district energy system or power generation facility.
- Experience with writing operations procedures.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS*:
- Frequently sitting, perform desk-based computer tasks, lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh up to 10 pounds.
- Occasionally stand/walk, twist/bend/stoop/squat, grasp lightly/fine manipulation, use a telephone, lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh up to 11-20 pounds.
- Rarely kneel/crawl, climb (ladders, scaffolds, or other), reach/work above shoulders, grasp forcefully, writing by hand, sort/file paperwork or parts, lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh >40 pounds.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Requires 24-hour response availability seven days per week for emergency situations.
- May be exposed to noise > 80dB TWA.
- May working at heights 4 - 10 ft.
