Dean of Research

The Vice Provost and Dean of Research Office (VPDoR) at Stanford University oversees 5 shared research facilities and 20+ independent labs, institutes, and centers of which span the life sciences, physical sciences, social sciences, humanities, engineering, and medicine. The VPDoR also manages offices such as Environmental Health and Safety, Science Outreach, Research Compliance, International Affairs, and Technology Licensing. The VPDoR Office recommends and promulgates new research policy and collaborates with departments on program scope, direction, administration, and compliance.
