DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

College Degree, preferred

 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (REQUIRED):

High School Diploma plus 2 years relevant experience, or a combination of education and relevant experience.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (REQUIRED):

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, strong command of the English language, both oral and written.
  • Strong interpersonal and telephone communication skills.
  • Demonstrated computer proficiency.
  • Data entry experience.
  • Must be able to understand and apply policies, procedures and protocols of the university.
  • Familiarity with purchasing/inventory control procedures and/or Stanford University financial systems highly desirable.
  • Ability to work with accuracy and attention to detail in a high pressure environment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS*:

·         Frequently perform desk based computer tasks, use a telephone, sit and use light/fine grasping.

·         Occasionally stand, walk and write by hand, lift, carry, push, and pull objects weighing 10 pounds or less.

·         Rarely kneel, crawl, climb, twist, bend, stoop, squat, reach or work above shoulders, grasp forcefully and sort, file paperwork or parts, lift, carry, push, and pull objects weighing over 40 pounds.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

May require extended working hours during peak cycles.

Additional WORKING CONDITIONS:

·         Work occurs in a secured facility, in an environment where animals are used for teaching and research.

·         May require working with or being in areas where hazardous materials, animal allergens and/or infectious diseases are present.

·         Specific hazards include, but are not limited to: zoonosis, chemicals, pesticides, and solvents.

·         Must be free of animal related allergies.

·         The successful candidate will be required to complete an initial and annual Occupational Health Surveillance questionnaire and may be required to undergo a physical examination and/or immunizations.

·         Expected to follow all safety requirements and procedures.

The expected pay range for this position is $28.74 to $34.20 per hour. Stanford University provides pay ranges representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for a position. The pay offered to a selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal equity, geographic location and external market pay for comparable jobs.
