MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree and five years of relevant experience, or combination of education and relevant experience. While a JD is not required, people with JDs or significant experience working within legal education or legal profession are strongly encouraged to apply.
Experience teaching, training, and managing diversity, equity, inclusion programs strongly desired.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Advanced communication skills to clearly and effectively communicate information to internal and external audiences, client groups, and all levels of management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to review and analyze complex information.
- Advanced computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Advanced customer service skills.
- Relevant computer systems/technology experience.
- Understanding of financial transactions.
- Ability to ensure and apply compliance with legal, financial, and university policies and external regulations.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- The ability to produce high-quality written materials, engage in public speaking, manage electronic communications, and communicate with a wide variety of constituents.
- Experience teaching law students and/or training lawyers, including developing classroom based or work place curriculum for adult learners.
- Experience in student advising and counseling, or supervising junior staff.
- Works well independently and as part of team efforts.
- Experience prioritizing and handling multiple assignments.
- Sensitivity to diversity of student body, staff, faculty, and broader SLS community.
- Ability to cultivate collaborative relationships with internal and external constituencies.
- Ability to identify and pro-actively solve problems, including to ensure and apply compliance requirements with legal, financial and university policies and external regulations.
- Ability to work some evenings and weekends, engage in local travel or occasional overnight travel.
This is a 3-year fixed-term position with the expectation that by year 3 we will assess the role for continuing status.
