EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
● Associate degree and two years related, demonstrated facilities administration experience, or a combination of education and relevant experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
● Interpersonal skills, mature judgment required to interact effectively with a broad range of people, including faculty and vendors, both individually and in groups.
● Ability to coordinate and manage multiple projects with competing priorities, meet deadlines and project plans with short- and long-term end dates.
● Working knowledge of applications such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project.
● Experience working with internal and external vendors and services contracting.
● Background knowledge of safe handling and disposal of chemicals and hazardous waste; emergency preparedness plans and their implementation; and property administration specific to PO tracking, receiving, and inventory control.
In addition, preferred requirements include:
● BA in an art discipline strongly preferred.
● A strong background in arts education as well as extensive experience with physical art making techniques including – the use of wood and metalworking equipment and tools, basic machining, and working with laser cutters.
● Solid workshop, repair and maintenance skills related to art making, including preventative maintenance, performing condition assessment of equipment and advising on equipment needs.
● A proven track record with health and safety compliance and knowledge of relevant regulations and best practices.
● Ability to work collaboratively and constructively with students, staff, and faculty, and a service-oriented approach.
● Experience creating systems, strategic planning of projects, thinking through prioritization and scheduling, while considering and communicating with all stakeholders.
● Experience with contemporary art, electronics, printmaking, and computer-aided design and fabrication are highly desirable (CNC, etc).
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
● Frequently stand/walk, seated, performs desk-based computer tasks.
● Frequently climb (ladders, scaffolds, or other), twist/bend/stoop/squat, reach/work above shoulders, grasp lightly/fine manipulation, use a telephone, writing by hand, lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh up to 20 pounds
● Frequently; kneel/crawl, grasp forcefully, sort/file paperwork or parts, lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh >40 pounds.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
● Requires 24-hour response availability seven days per week for emergency situations.
● May be exposed to noise > 80dB TWA.
● May working at heights 4 - 10 ft.
The expected pay range for this position is $31.25 to $41.83 per hour.
