To be successful in this role you must bring:
- Bachelor’s degree and five years of relevant experience, or combination of education and relevant experience.
- Operations and logistics experience.
- Customer service experience in a multi-stakeholder environment.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with team members and groups across campus.
- Highly organized; able to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines.
- Ability to manage a complex and often competing set of priorities in a high-pressure, results-oriented environment.
- Ability to forge and maintain strategic partnerships across a complex institution.
- Strong written and oral communications data analysis and reporting skills.
- Ability to use sound judgment in following policies and procedures, using creativity to solve problems.
- Must have the ability to pay attention to details.
- Demonstrated skill in data collection, management and reporting. Specifically, the use of spreadsheets, database programs, and word processing programs, and Google Drive skills.
- Inquisitive attitude, self-motivation, and self-driven approach with high degree of energy and initiative, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a tea
- Interest in sustainability and/or zero waste field.
- Zero Waste certifications such as CRRA/SWANA or TRUE a plus.

Physical Requirements
- Frequently sitting, performing desk-based computer tasks, lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh up to 10 pounds.
- Frequently stand/walk, twist/bend/stoop/squat, grasp lightly/fine manipulation, use a telephone, lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh up to 11-20 pounds.
- Rarely kneel/crawl, climb (ladders, scaffolds, or other), reach/work above shoulders, grasp forcefully, write by hand, sort/file paperwork or parts, lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh >40 pounds.
Work Conditions
- Work on weekends and evenings.
- Work involves long hours of standing and sustained communications/dialogue.
- May work in mechanical equipment rooms, kitchens, waste management areas, construction sites.
- Travel, local and non-local.

Pay Range:
The expected pay range for this position is $89,000 to $110,000 per annum. Stanford University provides pay ranges representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for a position. The pay offered to a selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal equity, geographic location and external market pay for comparable jobs.
