Qualifications - Minimum Requirements Education & Experience

  • At least ten years of relevant experience and Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, business or other related field, or equivalent experience; or combination of education and relevant experience

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Leadership, supervisory, planning and change management skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. Able to influence people, tackle problems, trouble shoot, think creatively and resolve conflicts.
  • Ability to establish relationships and motivate cross-functional teams with ability to achieve results in a consensus driven environment
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Deep and broad experience in project management for a wide variety of technologies including enterprise-wide business systems, communications systems, and infrastructure. Familiarity with custom development, data warehousing, business intelligence, and security/privacy tools.
  • Significant experience in budget planning, and financial forecasting.
  • Strong knowledge of industry standards and/or regulatory requirements.
  • In-depth understanding of various project methodologies (waterfall, iterative, agile), their strengths and weaknesses and how/when to adapt them to project needs.
  • Understanding of project management tools, budget planning tools, resource allocation tools, agile tools, and issue/bug tracking tools.
  • Experience leading large, complex projects or programs.

 

Certifications and Licenses

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certified, completion of a Project Management Certificate program, or certification in process.

 

Physical Requirements*

  • Constantly perform desk-based computer tasks.
  • Frequently sitting.
  • Occasionally stand/walk, reach/work above shoulders, use a telephone, writing by hand, lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh up to 10 pounds;
  • Rarely twist/bend/stoop/squat, sort/file paperwork or parts, lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh 11-20 pounds.
  • Consistent with its obligations under the law, the University will provide reasonable accommodation to any employee with a disability who requires accommodation to perform the essential functions of the job.

This position is eligible for full-time remote work from any location in the US, and may require periodic visits to campus once travel restrictions are lifted.
