To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Master’s degree in Social Work, counseling, or a related field, and two years post licensure experience.
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, or Licensed Professional Counselor in California
- Expertise in clinical skills in consultation, evaluation, crisis intervention, case management, and therapy
- Experience working with transitional aged youth and sexual/relationship violence
- Ability to develop strong relationships with students and other constituents in a warm and professional manner
- Demonstrated skills in consultative work with professional colleagues, experience in collaborative work across systems of care and with multi-disciplinary teams
- Knowledge and embodiment of diversity and inclusion best practices; experience providing clinical support for individuals from various identities, cultures, and backgrounds; ability to work collaboratively with individuals and groups from various identities, cultures, and backgrounds
- Willingness to take on new challenges in a dynamic and changing environment, work effectively under pressure, and maintain positive relationships with team members
- Strong communication skills to clearly and effectively communicate information to internal and external audiences, client groups, and management
- Advanced analysis and problem-solving skills
- Relevant computer systems/technology experience (e.g., electronic medical records systems, Microsoft Office Suite, Box, and Google Drive)
In addition, preferred skills and experiences include:
- Excellent organizational skills including an ability to oversee a wide variety of activities, to define pitfalls, to propose and implement effective solutions, while being able to balance competing priorities.
- High level of energy, flexibility, and the ability to work independently.
- Student development knowledge and experience in college/university settings.
- Bi- or multi-lingual therapy skills
- Work or lived experience relevant to serving one or more of the following communities:
- Black/African-American students
- First-generation/low-income students
- Indigenous/Native American students
- International students
- LGBTQ students
- Muslim students
- Students with disabilities
- Undocumented students
Working Conditions:
- Able to work evenings and weekends on occasion.
