MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree and eight years of relevant work experience or combination of education and relevant experience. Master’s degree preferred. Experience working in higher education preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Demonstrated ability to oversee all aspects of writing, editorial, and publication
process.
• Demonstrated advanced editorial and public relations skills and the ability to synthesize material from multiple sources.
• Demonstrated ability to determine publication and editorial approaches.
• Extensive experience managing and coordinating complex editorial and publication projects.
• Expert level knowledge of job-required tools and applications.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and allocate department resources.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and apply ingenuity and creativity in solving complex problems.
• Demonstrated ability to apply discretion and judgment in evaluating implications of information release to internal and external audiences.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:
• Skilled writer and editor, who is familiar with Chicago Manual and Associated Press styles. Knowledge of Stanford’s internal styles preferred but not required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Drive apps.
• Experience publishing content in Drupal CMS.
• Proficient in web content strategy. Ability to write for the web and adhere to accessibility standards.
The compensation for this position will be based on the location of the successful candidate. Stanford Work Location: The expected pay range for this position is $125,000 – $147,000 per annum.
Remote Work Location: This remote role is open to candidates anywhere in the United States. Stanford University has five Regional Pay Structures. The expected pay range for this position is $104,000 to $142,000 per annum.
