Minimum Education & Experience Required:

 

Bachelor of Arts degree in an applicable social science related field, or combination of education and relevant experience in an applicable social science.

 

Preferred education:

 

Bachelor’s degree in general or special education

 

Minimum Requirements:

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

 

  • General understanding of scientific theory and methods, typically gained through completion of an undergraduate degree in a related field.
  • General computer skills and ability to quickly learn and master computer programs.
  • Ability to work under deadlines with general guidance.
  • Excellent organizational skills and demonstrated ability to complete detailed work accurately.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work with human study participants.

 

Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

 

  • Experience delivering literacy or writing instruction to elementary or middle school students.
  • Experience working on an educational intervention research study.
  • Experience serving as a general or special education teacher and/or working with elementary and middle school teachers and students.

  • Finalist must successfully complete a background check prior to working at Stanford University. 
  • Applicants to this position must be available to work in the United States without sponsorship for 2 years or more. OPT permit holders should confirm that they are eligible to work in the US at the Stanford GSE for two years or more.
  • We are hiring two (2) part time (60% FTE), benefits-eligible, fixed term Research Assistant for one (1) year. Although not guaranteed, there will be potential for an extension/renewal following the initial 1-year contingent upon additional funding commitments and/or programmatic needs.
