MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree and ten years of relevant experience or combination of education and relevant experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Advanced experience managing print projects, possessing a strong knowledge of traditional and digital printing.
- Thorough knowledge and hands-on experience with all phases of book production, including in-depth knowledge of desktop publishing and the basic rudiments of art and design.
- Experience in implementing document design templates.
- Demonstrated proficiency in FTP, file conversion, and printing processes.
- Experience working on a project team.
- Ability to effectively manage work flow with multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to interface with internal departments and external book publication/production community.
- Ability to supervise the work of others.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS*:
- Frequently stand/walk, sitting, grasp lightly/fine manipulation, perform desk-based computer tasks, use a telephone, writing by hand, sort/file paperwork or parts, lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh up to 10 pounds.
- Occasionally twist/bend/stoop/squat, reach/work above shoulders, grasp forcefully.
- Rarely lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh >50 pounds. Good visual acuity including color vision.
- Ability to work in a dusty, dirty and odorous environment.
