DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Master's degree in physical therapy and three years experience working as a full-time Physical Therapist working with individuals with neurological or neuromuscular disease, or a combination of education and relevant experience.
- May require ability to establish effective relationships and communication with staff, clinical leadership team, physicians, other health care professionals/collaborators and patients and families.
- Proficiency (or certification) in administering NMD-specific standardized assessments.
- May require ability to use advanced clinical reasoning in patient evaluations, treatment and research design
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary clinical and research team.
- Knowledge of evidence-based practice techniques and good clinical practice and research certifications required for research evaluations
- Experience with Electronic Data Capture (EDC) systems (e.g., RedCap and a track record of good source documentation (ALCOA+ principles).
- Willingness to undergo rigorous training and annual inter-rater reliability testing to maintain evaluator certification
- GCP Training
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (REQUIRED):
Two years experience working in an orthopedic outpatient clinic, or a combination of education and relevant experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (REQUIRED):
CERTIFICATIONS & LICENSES:
- Licensed Physical Therapist by the state of California.
- First Aid, CPR and AED for health care providers.
- HIPAA training.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS*:
- Frequently stand/walk, perform desk-based computer tasks, and lift up to 10 pounds.
- Occasionally twist/bend/stoop/squat, reach/work above shoulders, grasp lightly/fine manipulation, grasp forcefully, lift up to 20 pounds.
Rarely kneel/crawl, use a telephone, write by hand, scrub, operate foot and hand controls, lift up to 40 pounds.

The expected pay range for this position is $114,205 to $134,214 per annum. Stanford University provides pay ranges representing its good faith estimate of the salary or hourly wage the university reasonably expects to pay for a position upon hire. The pay offered to a selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal equity, geographic location and external market pay for comparable jobs.
