Profile

The ideal candidate would have:
  • Bachelor’s degree and ten years of relevant experience in an investment management firm, foundation, endowment, or financial services.
  • Ability to understand the academic environment and cooperate and interact effectively across a wide range of faculty, staff, and trustees.
  • Impeccable communication skills and the innate ability to operate as a highly effective organization spokesperson.
  • Excellent writing skills evidenced by the ability to craft   powerful and engaging messages for a wide variety of audiences (investors, Board members, trustees, employees, etc.).
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to build and develop a cohesive team with the ability to delegate and empower others while maintaining extremely high standards for the team.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and compatibility with a team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent judgment, high integrity, and personal values consistent with values articulated by Stanford Management Company and University leaders.
 

       Certifications and Licenses:

       None
 
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS*:
 
  • Constantly perform desk-based computer tasks.
  • Frequently sitting.
  • Occasionally stand/walk, reach/work above shoulders, use a telephone, writing by hand, lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh up to 10 pounds;
  • Rarely twist/bend/stoop/squat, sort/file paperwork or parts, lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh 11-20 pounds.
