Qualifications:

  • Genomic DNA extraction and genotyping by PCR.
  • Mouse behavior analysis, including social and control behaviors.
  • Mouse tissue collection.
  • Imaging using fluorescence microscopy.
  • Protein expression analysis by Western blot.
  • RNA extraction and expression analysis by RT-qPCR.
  • Sample preparation for genome wide sequencing (RNA-seq, ATAC-seq)
  • FACs sorting cells for single-cell analysis.

Approximately one year of previous experience handling mice is required. Experience genotyping and maintaining mutant mouse lines is required. Familiarity with basic molecular biology techniques is required. Basic technical writing is required. Must have excellent organizational skills and be capable of paying strict attention to detail, including following written and oral instruction. 


Familiarity with the following experimental techniques preferred:

  • Must be detail-oriented and able to keep accurate records of experiments.
  • General understanding of scientific principles.
  • General computer skills and ability to quickly learn.
  • Ability to work under deadlines with general guidance.
  • Excellent organizational skills and demonstrated ability to accurately complete detailed work.
