MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in a B.A./B.S. in the life sciences and five years of relevant experience or combination of education and relevant experience.
Preferred requirements:
Ph.D. degree preferred, but not required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Collaborative mindset and demonstrated ability to build consensus and influence key stakeholders.
- Proactive self-starter and a team player, with the ability to effectively coordinate interdisciplinary project teams in a fast environment and multiple competing deadlines
- Strong technical training and analytical skills sufficient to gain a rapid understanding of new cutting-edge technologies.
- Demonstrated ability to learn how to influence and negotiate with internal constituencies and external business partners.
- Proven ability to take ownership of projects from inception to completion.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and decision-making routinely and independently, including in the context of only having access to limited or incomplete information.
- Strong interpersonal skills to facilitate interactions with diverse stakeholders in all parts of the organization.
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage and prioritize a large volume of varied tasks and competing demands, while maintaining a high standard of quality.
- Mastery of standard office software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite, and ability to learn applicable business-related systems.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Frequently perform desk-based computer tasks, seated work, and use light/ fine grasping.
- Occasionally stand, walk, use a telephone, lift, carry, push, pull objects that weigh up to 10 pounds.
- Rarely writes by hand.
