Minimum Education and Experience Required:
- High school diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
Minimum Qualifications:
- English language fluency. Demonstrated strong communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Demonstrated excellent customer service, including the ability to initiate public discourse, articulate policies in a clear and concise manner
- Demonstrated professionalism including diplomacy, discretion, great judgement, handle confidential information and work effectively with a diverse team
- Ability to prioritize tasks on the fly
- Knowledge and experience with the Windows Operating System and web-based applications, including email and calendar applications.
- Ability to learn and successfully use Stanford-specific computer applications, perform data entry, word processing and web navigation.
- Demonstrated ability to learn and apply Stanford’s commitment to a respectful workplace including, but not limited to, Affirmative Action, diversity, and a workplace free of any type of harassment as it applies to their work group
Physical Requirements:
- Constantly stand/walk, twist/bend/stoop/squat; perform desk-based computer tasks.
- Frequently use a telephone/radio, perform seated work.
- Occasionally lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh up to ten pounds
- Visual acuity adequate to perform job duties, including reading information from printed sources, computer screens, mobile screens and to clearly observe patron behavior at up to 30 feet
- May be exposed to fluctuating temperatures.
- May be exposed to allergens
