The Department of Neurosurgery at Stanford University is seeking a Human Resources Administrator 2 to provide administrative support under the direction of the Associate Director of Administration and Operations.
This key position will have a diverse role in the department and an opportunity to work with a number of constituent groups. The role will be essential to support the department with managing growth through contributing towards timely recruiting and superb onboarding. The position will be expected to field a number of HR related inquiries and be a resource for faculty and staff. Working and collaborating with central HR business units will additionally be necessary for success in the role. Developing and implementing employee engagement activities will be another key component to the role and will require a consistent level of energy and enthusiasm. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (REQUIRED):
Associate Degree and 2 years of relevant human resources experience or combination of education and relevant experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (REQUIRED):
- Behavioral competencies: Refer to competencies for HR Support.
- Technical competencies:
- Strong accuracy and attention to detail; strong proficiency with business applications, Microsoft Office suite, Google suite, etc.; demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and effectively handle highly sensitive and personal information with sound judgment, tact, and discretion. Basic ELR experience preferred.
CERTIFICATIONS & LICENSES:
• PHR (preferred) or SHRM-CP
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS*:
- Frequently stand/walk, sit, perform desk-based computer tasks, and use a telephone.
- Occasionally write by hand, twist/bend/stoop/squat, reach/work above shoulders, grasp lightly/fine manipulation, grasp forcefully, lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh up to 10 pounds, sort/file paperwork.
- Rarely kneel/crawl, operate foot and/or hand controls.

The expected pay range for this position is $32.21 to $38.64 per hour. Stanford University provides pay ranges representing its good faith estimate of the salary or hourly wage the university reasonably expects to pay for a position upon hire.
