MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree and three years of related experience or a combination of relevant education and relevant experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to provide 1-on-1 and group personal training and/or group fitness sessions.
- In-depth knowledge of current and emerging trends in fitness facility equipment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Customer service skills.
- Basic office administration skills.
- Ability to learn compliance with legal, financial, and university policies and external regulations.
Certifications and Licenses:
- Nationally recognized personal training or group fitness certification
- First Aid and CPR certification
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Frequently sit, perform desk-based computer tasks.
- Occasionally stand, walk, twist, use fine manipulation, grasp, use a telephone, write by hand, sort and file paperwork, lift, carry, push, and pull objects that weigh up to 45 pounds. Additional physical tasks may include demonstrating fitness-related activities and movements.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- May require non-traditional hours including evenings or weekends.
- Travel on campus to schools/units.
- Most work is at ARCAS (SLAC).

The expected pay range for this position is $65,000 to $66,250 per annum. The actual pay will be pro-rated based on the 75% FTE.
