DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience planning and coordinating professional events, conferences or meetings with over 50 attendees. Stanford University event management experience preferred.
- Superior project management skills, detail-oriented, and ability to manage multiple projects and complex timelines.
- Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) or Certified Project Manager Professional (PMP) is valuable for this job.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, time management, and customer service skills. Must be well organized and detailed oriented.
- Strong energy and passion for connecting people at large events as well as leading and motivating teams planning or working the event.
- Highly developed interpersonal communication skills including political acumen and social perceptiveness
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills keeping track of events, registrations, timelines, analyzing and sharing best practices.
- Ability to prioritize and quickly adapt to change with creative problem-solving skills.
- Team oriented individual with willingness to take initiative and get things done and share best practices with others, but also able to working independently.
- Must be comfortable with technology and advanced functions in programs like Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Smartsheet, Zoom, Slack, and other relevant web-based tools such as MailChimp, Paperless post and other event registration systems.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (REQUIRED):
- Bachelor's degree and three years of relevant experience or combination of education and relevant experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (REQUIRED):
- Demonstrated success managing event teams and planning, developing budgets, and meeting budget goals.
- Excellent project management skills, and the ability to manage complex timelines and multiple projects.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, time management, and customer service skills. Must be well organized and detailed oriented.
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to cultivate partnerships.
- Demonstrated high level of confidence in making strategic decisions, good judgment, and innovative and creative problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and other online documents, such as Google Docs.
- Ability to interact with a broad spectrum of customers.
CERTIFICATIONS & LICENSES:
- Valid Non-Commercial Class California Driver's License.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Frequently stand/walk, sit, perform desk-based computer tasks, use a telephone.
- Occasionally kneel/crawl, twist/bend/stoop/squat, grasp lightly/fine manipulation, and grasp forcefully, lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh 21-40 pounds.
- Drive vehicle day and/or night with non-commercial license.

The expected pay range for this position is $71,000 to $97,000 per annum.
