Qualifications – education and experience

Required:

Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of relevant experience or combination of education, training and relevant experience.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Clinical Associates are expected to hold an advanced degree, a relevant teaching certification, and an appropriate combination of education and experience. They are expected to possess exceptional skills as professional educators and leaders with a commitment to the mission and vision of STEP.

 

Knowledge, skills and abilities:

  • Strong experience and expertise as a classroom teacher and contributor to schools and communities, particularly those traditionally underserved by our public school system.
  • Knowledge of, commitment to, and successful experience working to develop more equitable and just educational opportunities and outcomes for all learners;
  • Depth of knowledge and experience in building effective and inclusive practices for all learners;
  • Ability to work constructively and communicate effectively with experienced and novice teachers;
  • Collaborative working skills;
  • Demonstrated experience leading team projects;
  • Ability to interact effectively and tactfully with members of the academic community;
  • Demonstrated experience working in an environment with colleagues of diverse backgrounds and customs;
  • Demonstrated expertise with instructional design methodologies, pedagogical issues, and best practices for classroom, online, and hybrid learning;
  • Excellent time management and project management skills, with demonstrated ability to manage a complex workload, prioritize tasks, and use good judgment in providing services based on goals;
  • Ability to work with and honor diversity in all its forms;
  • Excellent oral, written, and analytical skills.

This is a fixed-term position through Aug. 31, 2023 (extension possible depending on performance and funding).

 

Finalist must successfully complete a background check prior to working at Stanford University.

 

Applicants to this position must be available to work in the United States without sponsorship for 2 years or more. OPT permit holders should confirm that they are eligible to work in the US at the Stanford GSE for two years or more. There’s no visa sponsorship for this position
