Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree and five years of relevant experience or combination of education and relevant experience.
Desired Qualifications
- Strong visual and documentary storytelling ability with technical expertise in all aspects of post-production
- Deep understanding of the postproduction pipeline: Offline, online & conform, general compositing, screen compositing and/or replacement, picture clean up, color correction, tracking, time/speed morphs, project archiving, and mixing
- Proven professional experience with Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and other software in the Adobe Creative Cloud suite of applications (including Photoshop, InDesign, and Character Animator), and Frame.io (or similar video review tool).
- Experience working on multiple projects concurrently, including a commitment to meeting timelines and proactively communicating delays or issues
- Demonstrated experience and a thorough understanding of technical video aspects such as codecs, frame rates, resolution, compressions, and online/proxy/offline workflows
- Ability to adapt to a variety of visual styles with a developed sense of taste
- Excellent interpersonal skills and positive service-oriented attitude; mature judgment and developed diplomacy skills; demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive relationships
- Strong ability to perform detailed work with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Understanding of the online video environment and online distribution; interest in learning new, emerging platforms and tools
- Ability to work collaboratively on a functional and cross-functional team
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Advanced technical experience using digital media equipment, video creation, editing software, and/or digital media control software.
- Strong knowledge in production techniques including videography, compression and file delivery and other production formats.
- Broad knowledge of all aspects of professional quality productions, including field and studio camera, lighting, sound and editing,
- Understanding of the online video environment and online distribution.
- Demonstrated ability to perform repairs on a wide variety of audio, visual and computer equipment.
- Ability to adapt equipment setup and provide alternative setup or workarounds if necessary.
- Ability to manage a variety of simultaneous projects within tight deadlines, excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, mature judgment, and diplomacy required to interact effectively with and provide customer service to a broad audience.
- Ability to work independently as well as effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- May require experience planning, coordinating, and executing archival digitization projects.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS*:
- Constantly perform desk-based computer tasks
- Frequently stand/walk, grasp lightly/fine manipulation, grasp forcefully, and reach/work above shoulders.

- Ability to obtain and maintain a California Non-commercial Class license.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
