We are seeking a full-time program coordinator for the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion office who has experience with processing financial transactions, tracking budgets against expenses, scheduling, calendar management, event coordination, marketing, and who can provide a full range of support to the DEI staff, its faculty, and student programs. Reporting to the Assistant Dean of DEI and working closely with our Assistant Directors, the DEI program coordinator will provide support in coordinating and administering the School's DEI general programming (e.g., DEI coffee convos, speaker events) and will also play a key support role in advancing our flagship recruitment program SURGE (Sustainability Undergraduate Research in Geoscience and Engineering). Your Responsibilities will include:
Financial management, including monitoring and updating the monthly budget excel sheet, managing purchases and reimbursements, reconciling expenses, and transferring funds using Oracle financial applications.
Scheduling and calendar management for office operations and also for the assistant dean’s calendar.
Event coordination logistics for Stanford Doerr School of Sustainability DEI community events and student programs, including selecting and contracting with vendors, securing venues, ordering food, and processing event finances.
Coordinating communications and marketing, including printing materials, preparing flyers, ordering merchandise, and preparing packages and materials for recruitment events and tables.
Coordinating the logistics of SURGE Program, including summer student enrollment, creating newsletters/emails, organizing paperwork, planning field trips, and processing students stipends and billing.
Working with students, DEI office, and staff across the Stanford Doerr School of Sustainability on coordinating DEI liaisons and recruitment ambassadors events.
Updating DEI content for the school website, as well as maintaining and monitoring shared email accounts and updating email lists and social media.
Ordering office supplies and organizing office archives on Google Drive.
To be successful in this position, you will need:
High school diploma and four years of administrative experience, or combination of education and relevant experience.
Advanced computer skills and demonstrated experience with office software and email applications.
Demonstrated success in following through and completing projects.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and assign work to others.
Ability to take initiative and ownership of projects.
Ability to routinely and independently exercise sound judgment in making decisions.
In addition, our preferred qualifications include:
Experience with financial processes and expense management.
Experience with calendar systems and managing schedules.
Experience planning and coordinating a wide-variety of events.
Experience with Excel, Pivot Tables,Google Drive, and other financial or organizational tools (e.g., Oracle).
Demonstrated experience with email marketing platforms, graphic design tools (e.g., Canva), web-based systems, and other recruitment and outreach software platforms.
Demonstrated ability to engage with diverse student populations and/or audiences.
An earned Bachelor's degree and administrative experience.
Excellent Excel and financial accounting skills.
Prior work experience in a higher education setting or in recruitment.
Knowledge of Stanford University systems and policies.

The expected pay range for this position is $33.17 to $43.75 per hour.
