To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • A bachelor’s degree and two years of relevant experience, or combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Strong time and organizational management skills; ability to manage multiple projects at one time
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with all stakeholder groups (students, faculty, staff, alumni, etc.) and with people from various identities, cultures, and backgrounds
  • Strong event management and planning skills
  • Creativity, resourcefulness, initiative, discernment, and a high degree of autonomy and motivation
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, inclusion, equity and justice practices
  • Experience with or strong interest in disability justice and supporting students with disabilities.
  • Willingness to take on new challenges in a dynamic and changing environment and work gracefully under pressure
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Box, and Google Suite and basic computer skills
  • Basic budgeting and financial stewardship skills
  • Customer service skills
  • Ability to learn and understand compliance with legal, financial, and university policies and external regulations

In addition our preferred requirements include,

  • Advanced experience in diversity & inclusion and/or social justice programming
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and initiative in planning and problem solving under general direction from the supervisor
  • High level of energy, flexibility, and the ability to work independently.
  • Student development knowledge and experience in student affairs


Working Conditions:

  • Hybrid work schedule requiring on-site work at least 3 days per week
  • Able to work evenings and weekends, as needed.
  • The university requires all staff to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19, unless granted a medical or religious accommodation.
