To be successful in this position, you will bring:
- Bachelor's degree and ten years of relevant experience or a combination of education and relevant experience.
- Demonstrated history in creating innovative event planning strategies and successful event collaborations.
- Collaborative leadership and management skills that select, engage, and empower an organized, cohesive team of event planning professionals.
- Superior verbal and written communication skills to effectively support working partnerships at all organizational levels.
- Strong analytical skills to review and assess budget and forecasting information, cost accounting, and vendor contract relationships. Experience building and maintaining spreadsheets.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment of 60+ annual donor and alumni events.
- Excellent judgment, decisiveness, high integrity, enthusiasm, diplomacy, and tact.
- Valid California Non-commercial Class Driver’s License
Physical Requirements:
- Frequently stand/walk, sit, perform desk-based computer tasks, and use a telephone.
- Occasionally kneel/crawl, twist/bend/stoop/squat, grasp lightly/fine manipulation, and grasp forcefully, lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh 21-40 pounds.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a California Class C license and drive day or night
Working Conditions:
- May require some travel and working evenings and weekends.

- When conducting university business, must comply with the California Vehicle Code and Stanford University driving requirements.
