To be successful in this position, you will bring:
Minimum Education and Experience Required
- Bachelor’s degree and five years of relevant experience, or combination of education and relevant experience.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required
- Excellent management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to develop departmental budgets, timelines, goals, and schedules.
- Demonstrated ability to present and advocate for new initiatives, technologies, strategies, and goals to senior management.
- Applied understanding of current and emerging technologies in higher education.
- Demonstrated effectiveness in consulting with subject matter experts to assess learning needs and recommend high-impact learning solutions and learning curricula.
- Demonstrated proficiency in explaining and applying instructional design theory, models, and best practices.
- Demonstrated experience working in a highly cross functional and collaborative team environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups, learning team members, vendor partners, and business partners to create a learning environment that is service-oriented, supportive, engaging, and effective for adult and nontraditional learners.
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate the effectiveness of learning materials.
- Demonstrated ability to quickly understand team culture, nurture trust, and foster stability.
- Deep empathy for, and understanding of, faculty mindset, needs, and priorities; ability to drive team engagement around areas of greatest faculty need.
- Deep understanding of faculty expectations around faculty-staff interactions; ability to balance providing an outstanding experience for faculty, developing cutting-edge learning experiences for students, and managing project scope and team bandwidth.
- Ability to navigate complex landscapes and multifaceted projects.
- Ability to quickly develop a deep understanding of team processes, practices, programs, and technology.
- Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience as a primary instructor in a college or university setting.
- Experience working closely with engineers and technologists to deliver technology solutions for pedagogy challenges.
The expected pay range for this position is $168,628 to $210,000 per year.
