Qualifications:
Preferred Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree and ten years of relevant experience, including investigations, audit, compliance, risk management, law enforcement, or other relevant experience.
- Experience working in higher education, health care, research-based non-profit organizations, or government contracting or combination of education and relevant experience.
- Familiarity with the U.S. Federal Sentencing Guidelines for Organizations and state and federal laws, regulations, and policies surrounding whistleblower protection, non-retaliation, confidentiality, and access to and retention of records.
- Certified Public Accountant, Certified in Financial Forensics, or Certified Fraud Examiner designation is a plus.
- Institutional compliance program experience is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience investigating allegations of asset misappropriation, financial conflicts of interest, and other financial fraud-related topics.
- Comfort with ambiguity and works calmly under pressure.
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex programs in a decentralized environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to effectively drive business, culture, and technology change in a dynamic and complex operating environment.
- Demonstrates excellent judgment and sound decision making to obtain viable solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to interact with all levels of staff to include executives and University's most senior staff.
- Familiarity with fraud investigation principles and techniques.
