DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of seven (7) years of combined education and experience in health communications, journalism, or public relations with at least two years supervisory experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of health equity and how it applies to strategic communications.
- Knowledge of electronic communication tools
- Experience with website content creation, posting and information architecture and design concepts.
- Ability to manage vendor evaluation and procurement process.
- Excellent writing and presentation skills, ability to edit scientific text and education materials to ensure clear and concise communication of concepts.
- Graphic layout and design skills.
- Project management experience and skills.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with leadership and staff on multiple, competing projects.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (REQUIRED):
Bachelor's degree and seven years of relevant experience or combination of education and relevant experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (REQUIRED):
· Excellent written communication skills, reporting skills, and advanced skills in conceptual editing, copy editing, and proof reading.
· Ability to work collaboratively with internal communications groups across campus.
· Demonstrated interpersonal skills in working with a variety of people.
· Capacity to write and synthesize materials and communicate information in a manner easily understood.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS*:
- Constantly perform desk-based computer tasks.
