Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree and four years of relevant experience or a combination of education and relevant experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Must possess strong technical expertise in both Computer-Aided Design and Drafting (CADD) and database management with emphasis on civil drafting and knowledge. This entails a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with Autodesk products, showcasing a proficient command of AutoCAD Map 3D, Mapguide, and Raster Design.
- Have a comprehensive understanding of typical underground utility locating equipment, encompassing single-frequency devices, metal detectors, and current toners.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD programming languages, specifically LISP and VBA.
- Must be customer oriented with the ability to lead a team and work effectively with management, staff, and clients.
- Basic computer literacy is required, including proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and email communication.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are crucial, enabling effective interaction with a diverse range of individuals such as construction workers, engineers, and project managers.
- Physical capabilities include the ability to lift objects weighing up to 30 lbs. and readiness to work at construction sites in hardhat areas.
- Possess a general understanding of construction drawing sets, utility maps, and road maps, with the ability to interpret them effectively.
Certifications and Licenses:
- Must possess and maintain a valid California Non-commercial Class C Driver’s License
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to obtain and maintain a California Non-commercial Class C Driver’s License.
- Constantly stand/walk utilizing an aerobic capacity for walking 5 miles a day
- Frequently twist/bend/stoop/squat.
- Occasionally sit, perform desk-based computer tasks, use a telephone, grasp lightly/fine manipulation and carry objects that weigh 21-40 pounds.
- Occasionally lift/carry/push/pull
- Rarely kneel/crawl, climb (ladders, scaffolds, or other), writing by hand, sort/file paperwork or parts, grasp forcefully.
Working Conditions:
- Occasionally work evenings and weekends.
- May perform work outside in variable weather conditions.
- May be exposed to high voltage electricity, radiation or electromagnetic fields, noise >80db, allergens/ biohazards/ chemicals/ asbestos.
- May be required to work in confined spaces and at heights greater than 10 feet.

The expected pay range for this position is $39.90 to $50.48 per hour.
