MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree and seven years of relevant experience in administrative and financial management, or combination of education and relevant experience. Senior leadership experience, preferably in a camp setting, hospitality environment, educational unit, or related field, is strongly desired.

  • Demonstrated leadership, people management, planning and change management skills.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. Able to influence people, solve problems, troubleshoot, think creatively and resolve conflicts. Capable of persuading stakeholders, addressing challenges, thinking innovatively, and resolving conflicts effectively with strong de-escalation techniques.

  • Advanced financial expertise in budget planning, and financial forecasting.

  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong knowledge of industry standards and/or regulatory requirements (see preferred certifications and licenses).

 

PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES: 

  • EMT-B certification

  • Water License, CA, T-2

  • PCIA Rock Climbing Single Pitch Lead Climb Instructor

 

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES: 

  • Must possess and maintain a valid California non-commercial Class C Driver’s License.

     

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Constantly perform desk-based computer tasks.
  • Frequently sitting.
  • Occasionally stand/walk, reach/work above shoulders, use a telephone, writing by hand, lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh up to 10 pounds;
  • Rarely twist/bend/stoop/squat, sort/file paperwork or parts, lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh 11-20 pounds.
  • Ability to drive day or night.

 

WORK STANDARDS:

  • When conducting university business, must comply with California Vehicle Code and Stanford University driving requirements.
     

SALARY AND BENEFITS: This is an exempt management position with excellent benefits (https://cardinalatwork.stanford.edu/benefits-rewards). Meals are provided on-site; residence on-site is required during the summer operating season from early June to mid-September as a condition of employment. The position lives off-site from mid-September to early June.

 

The expected pay range for this position is $164,872 to $210,000 per annum. Stanford University provides pay ranges representing its good faith estimate of the salary or hourly wage the university reasonably expects to pay for a position upon hire. The pay offered to a selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal equity, geographic location and external market pay for comparable jobs.
