MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree and three years of relevant experience or combination of education, training, and relevant experience. Advanced degree may be required for some programs. For jobs with financial responsibilities, experience managing a budget and developing financial plans.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent oral, written, and analytical skills, exhibiting fluency in area of specialization.
  • Strong writing and speaking skills and the ability to represent IFDM to multiple stakeholders.
  • Project management skills to ensure the timely completion of tasks and projects.
  • Regimented organizational abilities accounting for a variety of project, personnel, financial, and research-related inputs.
  • Ability to oversee and direct staff.
  • Basic knowledge of managing budgets and developing financial plans.
  • Superior project management skills with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage complex, multi-year projects from conception to completion. Strategic thinking and ability to handle multiple projects at once, push forward external stakeholders, meet deadlines, and effectively manage time.
  • Ability to balance the mix of multi-year high-level developments and day-to-day lower-level tasks. Ability and sound judgment to shield the Faculty Director from administrative tasks while recognizing decisions that need to be escalated and need direct Faculty Director input.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Frequently stand/walk, sit, grasp lightly/fine manipulate, perform desk-based computer tasks.
  • Occasionally use a telephone, writing by hand, lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh up to 40 pounds.
  • Rarely sort/file paperwork or parts, lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh >40 pounds.
  • Ability to use voice to present information/communicate with others.
  • On-campus mobility.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • May work extended hours, evenings, or weekends.
  • May travel locally.
  • Occasional overnight travel.

WORK STANDARDS:

  • Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrates the ability to work well with Stanford colleagues and clients and with external organizations.
  • Promote Culture of Safety: Demonstrates commitment to personal responsibility and value for safety; communicates safety concerns; uses and promotes safe behaviors based on training and lessons learned.
  • Subject to and expected to comply with all applicable University policies and procedures, including but not limited to the personnel policies and other policies found in the University’s Administrative Guide, http://adminguide.stanford.edu.

This position is open to a hybrid work agreement which requires the selected applicants to work on campus eight days a month. However, due to the nature of the position, applicants must be on-site during events.

The expected pay range for this position is $95,000 - $139,000 per annum. The actual pay will be pro-rated based on the 50% full-time employment.
