Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree and 5 -10 years of relevant experience in finance/administration and financial management, or combination of education and relevant experience.  Higher Education and Business Relationship Management (BRM) Institute certification is a plus.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 

Communications/Interpersonal Skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on collaboration, relationship building, active listening, gaining trust and influencing others.   
  • Critical thinking skills with the capacity to creatively troubleshoot and problem solve.  
  •  
  • Proficient oral and written communication skills with the ability to deliver effective presentations to different audiences
  • Ability to work effectively with a diverse set of organizational stakeholders including executive leadership, administration, Stanford’s finance community and cross functional teams.
  • Marketing and communication knowledge is a plus  

 

Analytical Skills

  • Ability to analyze and share data impacts with key stakeholders 
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills

 

Business Acumen

  • Expertise in business/finance and/or financial systems/applications and databases
  • An understanding of Stanford’s business processes and systems
  • Demonstrated financial management knowledge
  • Ability to work in a decentralized environment to effectively manage multiple projects and shifting priorities
  • Solid understanding of the project management body of knowledge discipline
  • Ability to use and learn how to use collaboration tools including Zoom, G-Suite, Slack and Smartsheet, Salesforce, and any other Customer Relationship Management (CRM) programs.
  • Business Relationship Management (BRM) Institute certification and/or Salesforce expertise are a plus
