To be successful in this position, you will have:
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in nutritional science, dietetics, or related field and one to three years of relevant experience or combination of education and relevant experience.
- Current Dietetic Registration and maintain continuing education requirements established by the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Proficiency in sports nutrition, including experience in the collegiate or professional setting.
- Proficiency in use of EMR systems to assess and communicate athlete PHI in a safe, effective manner.
- Knowledge of HIPAA guidelines as it relates to communication of student-athlete health status regarding sport participation.
- Knowledge of NSF/Informed Sport Supplements, protocols, and appropriate applications.
- Stay up to date on the latest in peer-reviewed research as it pertains to athletic performance, performance nutrition, and medical nutrition therapy.
- Knowledge and understanding of blood panels and proper nutritional intervention.
- Experience working with a High Performance Team. Specifically, experience coordinated athlete care with Team Physicians, Athletic Trainers, Physical Therapists and Sports Performance Coaches.
- Bring strong time management, oral, and written communication skills to the team.
- Proficient with computer software (word processing, spreadsheet, electronic communication, etc.).
- Ability to work non-standard work hours or workweek (may include early morning, nights, weekends, or holidays).
- Have an ability to work independently and follow through on assignments.
- Be highly motivated to work as part of our growing sports nutrition team.
- Knowledge of NCAA and ACC Conference rules and regulations.
Preferred qualifications include:
- Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics (CSSD) or actively pursuing.
- Master’s degree in nutritional science, exercise science, or health-related field.
- Experience in a clinical sports medicine setting.

The expected pay range for this position is $75,000 – $80,000 per annum.
