Assistant Director of State & Federal Government Affairs

To be successful in this position, you will bring:

• Bachelor's degree and five years relevant experience or a combination of education and experience. Must have functional experience in California state government and/or working with Federal agencies or Capitol Hill.
• Experience with research universities is desirable.
• Experience in a government relations environment, focusing on federal or CA state is desirable.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively educate and interact with internal and external audiences.
• Ability to be collaborative and work with others to solve problems and build key relationships. 
• Strong analytical skills to review and assess complex information.

The expected pay range for this position is $109,000 to $133,000 per annum. Stanford University provides pay ranges representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for a position. The pay offered to a selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal equity, geographic location and external market pay for comparable jobs.
