To be successful in this role, you will bring

 

  • Bachelor's degree or a combination of education and relevant experience. Experience in a quantitative discipline such as economics, finance, statistics, or engineering.
  • Ability to collect data using a variety of methods, such as data mining and hardcopy or electronic documentation study, to improve or expand databases. Ability to download, merge, manipulate, analyze, and report on large amounts of complex data from various campus and departmental sources.
  • Strong listening, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple activities in a deadline-oriented environment; highly organized, flexible and rigorous attention to detail.
  • Ability to use logic to calculate data; efficiently construct a database or scrutinize the form of a question.
  • Ability to work with data of varying levels of quality and validity. Strong quantitative and analytical skills to ensure accuracy and integrity of data.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce data in a clear and understandable manner meeting user requirements.
  • Ability to work effectively and develop strong relationships with students, employers, and other constituents in a warm and professional manner. Passion and aptitude for cultivating connections.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and assign work to others.
  • Able to handle confidential and sensitive information with good judgment and discretion.
  • Extensive computing experience and strong proficiency with MS Word, and Outlook, advanced user of PowerPoint and MS Excel, including the use of pivot tables, macros, etc. Experience using email applications, such as MailChimp,
  • Excellent customer service.
  • Ability to take initiative and ownership of projects.
  • Knowledge and embodiment of diversity and inclusion best practices. Ability to work collaboratively with individuals and groups from various identities, cultures, and backgrounds

 

In addition, preferred qualifications include:

 

  • At least one year of demonstrated experience in survey design and analysis experience and use of survey tools (SurveyMonkey, Qualtrics, etc.)
  • Extensive experience analyzing quantitative and qualitative data and presenting data graphically.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment with college departments across the University and cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise creativity, innovation, comfort with change, ambiguity, and awareness of others in a 10-week quarter system often requiring flexibility and shared work to ensure successful student engagement.

 

Working Conditions:

  

  • Able to work evenings and weekends, as needed. May work extended hours during peak business cycles.
  • The university requires all staff to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 and provide proof of vaccination prior to their start date unless granted a medical or religious accommodation.
