To be successful in this role,
you will bring:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s
degree and five years of relevant experience, or combination of education and
relevant experience.
In addition, preferred
requirements include:
- Demonstrated experience
coaching/advising/counseling and group facilitation in higher education.
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Education, Student Affairs,
or related field is preferred,
- Entrepreneurial, creative, and innovative spirit; comfort
with change, ambiguity, and risk.
- Multicultural
awareness and competence; ability to work in a diverse environment and serve
constituents from a wide variety of backgrounds.
- Proven
ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a
variety of internal and external constituents in a complex system.
- Organizational
abilities and effective communication.
- Experience
and comfort with technology, social media, and digital communication.
- Demonstrated
passion and experience in community development, program planning and
execution, group facilitation and engagement, and advising college students and
alumni.
- Deep understanding of career
education related concepts and trends (job searching, networking, resumes &
cover letters, career exploration, economic trends, finding meaningful work)
- Knowledge
of career assessments and web resources.
