To be successful in this position, you will bring:

 

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree and four-years experience or combination of education and relevant experience. Master’s degree preferred. 

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of current risk management practices in recreation settings, business skills necessary to generate revenue and balance budgets, professional and part-time development strategies, an understanding of recreation programs, familiarity of membership registration and office software programs. 
  • Ability to learn policies and procedures and correctly provide that information to customers.
  • Use information to make sound decisions. 
  • Excellent customer service experience and a proven ability to meet performance standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to complete tasks under deadline. 
  • Demonstrated ability to set priorities in order to perform a high volume of detailed work with constant interruptions.
  • Demonstrated experience in decision-making and problem-solving skills. 
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize own work.
  • Demonstrated excellent organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and ownership of projects.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to routinely and independently exercise sound judgment in making decisions.
  • Ability to direct the work of others.

 

Certifications and Licenses

  • CPR/First Aid/AED Certification or completion of certified within 6 months of employment

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS*

  • Ability to lift 25 pounds regularly and up to 40 pounds occasionally. 

 

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Position spends most days in office setting using computer. 
  • Requires 24-hour response availability seven days per week for emergency situations.
  • May be exposed to noise > 80dB TWA.
