Seeking Administrative and Technical Associate The Precourt Institute for Energy is seeking an exceptional candidate to serve as a Administrative and Technical Associate. This position encompasses three core areas: financial and administrative operations, website design and data systems, convening management. In addition to core duties, this role supports in adopting new technology platforms to enhance operations. Our ideal candidate will have a strong combination of interpersonal, organizational, customer service, and communication skills, along with the ability to independently learn and apply technology platforms such as Airtable, Smartsheet, Cvent, and Drupal.
Core duties include but are not limited to the following:
Data Management and Web Development
Develop and maintain website pages in Drupal, including designing layouts, managing site navigation, and embedding departmental tools and interfaces.
Design and maintain data management systems and workflow automations using platforms such as Smartsheet and Airtable to support departmental operations, financial tracking, and resource scheduling.
Engagement Support
Build and manage registration pages, websites, reports, and outgoing communications in Cvent, based on requirements provided by convening lead.
Support execution of convenings and events.
Track and manage reservation-related details, including participant registrations, attendance, and related data to ensure accurate and timely execution.
Maintain and support tools and systems used for event and engagement management, ensuring data integrity and usability.
Provide operational support in the context of engagements, including troubleshooting registration issues, managing attendee communications, and supporting real-time event needs.
Provide dedicated support for initiative/programs, with a focus on engagement planning and execution.
Contribute to continuous improvement of engagement workflows and tools to enhance participant experience and operational efficiency.
Perform other operational and administrative duties as assigned to support the institute’s goals.

To be successful in this position, you will need:
Education & Experience:
Associate degree and two years of relevant experience or a combination of education and relevant experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Good customer service skills and ability to explain technical features to non-technical customers/clients.
Familiarity with a range of programming and scripting languages.
Clear understanding of web standards and usability methods.
In-depth knowledge of content management systems, such as Drupal, including the ability to perform standard installations and configurations.
Demonstrated proficiency building applications in a web development framework.
In-depth knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related website development technologies and software.
Understanding of systems integration and various web devices and environments.
Ability to design and implement web services.
Familiarity with authentication and access control.
Knowledge of website delivery best practices.
In addition, our preferred qualifications include:
Familiarity with workflow automation or data management tools and platforms
Experience with content management systems such as Drupal or similar web platforms
Ability to identify operational needs and implement technology-based solutions to improve workflows.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues across multiple technology platforms.
Knowledge of Stanford University systems and policies.
Experience supporting a wide variety of engagement activities.
Implement and maintain content management systems, including installation, configuration, theme and plug-in integration, and ongoing support of departmental liaisons using existing platforms and tools.
Support the development and maintenance of web applications, including building search indexes, integrating web designs, and building small collection websites.
Interface with existing database, using existing data and discovery tools user interfaces.
Perform development and maintenance programming for web applications.
Evaluate and support user needs, and recommend solutions within existing platforms; maintain and develop documentation and how-to guides for customers.

The expected pay range for this position is $44.04 to $52.76 per hour.
