To be successful in this position, you will bring:
- Bachelor’s degree and four years relevant experience or a combination of education and experience.
- Expertise in utilizing technology to enhance teaching and research.
- Solid experience with an array of educational technologies and skillset founded by experience in successfully training others to support their assigned teaching technologies – in particular, the Faculty Assistants, Course Assistants, and Administrative Assistants, who are required to support these educational tools with assigned faculty and their classes each quarter. Likewise serve as a “real-time” helpdesk support to field questions in person or emails that can require troubleshooting, creating brief “HOW TO” guides to resolve questions or in some cases escalate unsolved technology issues with vendors or GSB/UIT helpdesks.
- Ability to define and solve logical problems for technical applications.
- Knowledge of and ability to select, adapt, and effectively use a variety of programming methods.
- Demonstrated ability to express course material and pedagogic goals through the imaginative application of technology to existing materials and structures.
- Ability to plan, design, develop and evaluate engaging multimedia learning/training objects.
- Expert knowledge of learning management systems and various classroom and online learning technologies.
- Ability to recognize and recommend necessary changes in user and/or operation procedures.
- Experience with delivering applications in a networked environment.
- Excellent teaching, communication (written/verbal) and interpersonal skills.
- Strong customer services skills. Ability to interact effectively and tactfully with all members of the academic community; demonstrated experience working in an environment with colleagues of diverse backgrounds and customs; while forging strong working relationships with faculty, staff, and students.
- Demonstrated expertise with instructional design methodologies, pedagogical issues, and best practices for classroom, online and hybrid learning.
- Expert knowledge of Windows and Mac environments, and familiarity with Unix.
- Demonstrated experience developing and delivering technical training to a non-technical audience.
- Excellent time management and project management skills. Demonstrated ability to manage a complex workload, prioritize tasks and use good judgment in providing services based on goal.
The expected pay range for this position is $91,000 - $115,000 per annum. Stanford University provides pay ranges representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for a position. The pay offered to a selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal equity, geographic location and external market pay for comparable jobs.
